The Hermitage is one of the largest art museums in the world. It is located in the centre of St.Petersburg and occupies five historic buildings, including the Winter palace - the former winter residence of Russian emperors. Museum collections number over 3 million items embracing magnificent works of art from prehistoric to modern times. A traditional tour includes the main interiors of the Winter palace, the Pavilion hall of the Small Hermitage, the collection of Italian art (Lenardo da Vinci, Rafael and many others), the collection of Spanish art, Rembrandt, Little Dutch masters and, of course, French impressionists.
Other collections of the Hermitage can be included into the tour upon request.
